Community Health Center of Central Missouri, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Missouri, seeks a Registered Dental Hygienist, full, part and PRN opportunities available. The successful candidate must be able to educate patients regarding home dental care and periodontal disease.

Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited School of Dental Hygiene. Valid license to practice dental hygiene in the State of Missouri.

Essential Function: Provides following clinical services: oral prophylaxis; instruction for proper home care techniques for oral hygiene including proper tooth brushing, flossing, nutrition, and need for professional care; topical fluorides; screen and evaluate patients regarding caries detection, periodontal pathology, medical history; exposing radiographs, supra and sub gingival scaling and curettage; root planning, application of sealants. Primarily responsible for outreach and the initiation and maintenance of the dental prevention and dental education program including health fairs, outreach, and PSP (preventative screening program). Tracking number of individuals seen in these outreach programs. Other duties as assigned.

Community Health Worker

Community Health Workers (CHW) will work closely with medical and dental providers, primary care teams, and other agencies to improve patient care and outcomes. CHWs help to identify barriers to care and work to address and remove these barriers, when possible. CHWs will be involved with all areas of clinic operations, including scheduling appointments, assisting with insurance applications, and helping to coordinate care between departments and clinic staff. CHWs will focus on utilizing face-to-face encounters with patients to determine how best to support patients in their healthcare efforts. For this position a strong knowledge and background working with OB/GYN patients. Bachelor’s Degree in a social-services field ideal for this position. Certification as a Community Health Worker preferred.

Individual will work 4 days/32 hours per week of patient care, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Must be a licensed NP or PA, previous experience working a primary care setting helpful for this position. Community Health Center of Central Missouri is seeking a self directed individual who can work independently as the Supply Clerk being responsible for ordering supplies and equipment for all departments at CHCCMO. This position is responsible for the adequate supplies/stock in the storeroom. Will be responsible for performing the annual inventory process. Ideal candidate would have previous knowledge of medical/dental supplies/equipment, excellent computer skills and previous experience obtaining bids and price quotes for equipment/supplies.

Conducts routine clinical laboratory testing for use in the treatment and diagnosis of disease.

Duties:
  • Performs and documents maintenance per manufacturer guidelines
  • Assesses acceptability of quality control prior to testing patient samples
  • Completes and documents corrective action for any deviations from procedure
  • Evaluates each patient sample for acceptability prior to testing
  • Participates and completes required training
  • Identifies and corrects quality issues
  • Maintains lab organization and supply inventories to prevent disruptions in service
  • Communicates effectively with customers (patients and clinic staff)
  • Completes other duties as assigned

Minimum Education: Associates degree in lab science or completion of 50-week military training program for medical laboratory specialists. Documented evidence required. Will consider other degreed candidates with recent clinical lab experience.

This position is Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., no weekend, no call and Major Holidays Off.
