Oral Health Outreach

Research has indicated that access to oral health care is critical to the early identification and prevention of oral diseases. Every year hundreds of school children in our area report to nurses of complaining of tooth pain, and it is also one of the most common excuses for absenteeism. In addition, the majority of children examined through Community Health Centers of Central Missouri had never before seen a dentist, and many were found to have advanced tooth decay. Due to overwhelming needs in our community, CHC of Central Missouri has expanded our community outreach programs to meet the dental needs of thousands of Missouri students each year, primarily those in elementary school.
